In this October when the sun shines brightly, the National Polymer Academic Paper Presentation Conference 2013 themed by "polymers for better life" sponsored by the Polymer Science Committee of Chinese Chemical Society and organized by Donghua University was grandly held at Shanghai World Expo Center on October 12-16, 2013. The National Polymer Academic Paper Presentation Conference has had a great impact in the academic and business circles at home and abroad, having turned into an important conference with certain influence in the community of polymer science and materials. The conference attracted approx. 3,000 Chinese and foreign first-class scholars and scientific research and technology related personnel, and approx. 1,600 participants participated in the poster display. The jury composed of famous experts and scholars rated 10% of the candidates as winners of the excellent poster award. 

At the conference, Zhen Jiang and Jiuan Lyu of our group participated in the poster display and won the excellent poster award. Their lectures were entitled "a study on the fabrication and properties of photodeformable liquid crystal polymer composites based on triplet-triplet annihilation upconversion luminescence mechanism" and "a study on the photodeformation of non-crosslinked azo liquid crystal polymer", respectively. Zhen Jiang was selected as the award-winning representative of Fudan University and took the stage to accept the award. Academician Qifeng Zhou, Chairman of the Polymer Science Committee, Chinese Chemical Society and former President of Peking University, invested him with the certificate of excellent poster award.
