Having been engaged in LCD panel materials, process innovation and industrialization for 40 years, Prof. Dirk J. Broer is an academician of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, a professor of Eindhoven University of Technology, the Director of the Department of Functional Organic Materials and Devices, and a distinguished technical advisor of Merck, the world's largest supplier of raw liquid crystal. Prof. has so far received 120 U.S. patents and published 227 SCI papers in international journals with more than 6,024 citations; his H-index is even greater than 37.

After visiting the research group for the first time in July 2014, Prof. Dirk J. Broer visited the research group again for academic exchanges on April 27 this year. During the period, he had an in-depth academic discussion with the students of our group on the latest research findings in liquid crystal materials.
