The 9th International Multidisciplinary Conference on Optofluidics (IMCO2019) was held in Hong Kong, China from June 14 to 17, 2019. The conference covered the application of optofluidics in biology, medicine, chemistry, physics and materials, and aimed at providing international researchers in micro/nanofluidics and optics with a platform for communication and exchange, thereby establishing a tighter network of partnerships. Principal topics of the conference include "Lab On a Chip", "Micro Droplet", "Optical Devices", "Silicon Photonics", etc. Wonderful reports were delivered at the conference, and their contents fully demonstrated current frontier issues and development trends in the field of micro/nanofluidics and optics.
Prof. Yanlei Yu from Department of Materials Science, Fudan University presented a keynote talk entitled "Trace Liquid Manipulation Based on Photodeformable Liquid Crystal Polymers". Postdoctoral fellows Guodong Yu and Quan Liu presented branch-venue reports entitled "Photocontrol Capillary-Based Flexible Microfluidics" and "All-Optical Fluid Control in Liquid Crystal Polymer Microfluidic Chips", respectively. The reports received extensive attention and unanimous praise from the experts and colleagues present at the conference. Postdoctoral fellow Guodong Yu's poster stood out among the many entries and won the BestPoster Paper Award, which demonstrated the excellence of our group. Congratulations to Dr. Guodong Yu!
