Functionalized Polyimide Film

Traditional polyimide has been widely used in LCD, microelectronics, and flexible solar cell due to its excellent thermostability, mechanical property, chemical stability, dielectric property and radioresistance. However, with the rapid development of the above industries and the emerging fields appear, it can no longer meet the diversified market demand. A prominent choice for specific needs is to develop the functionalized polyimides. Until now, we have developed a series of functionalized polyimides through appropriate molecular design, such as photo-responsive polyimide, colorless transparent polyimide and so on. By enhancing the collaboration between molecules with specific ordered structure, the effective transfer from molecular structure change to the macroscopic change is improved, and thus realizing a fast and reversible bending behavior of the polyimide with photosensitive group. We focused on the influence of polymer chain topological and aggregation structure on the macroscopic properties of materials, and thereby improve the comprehensive properties of functionalized polyimide. Some research findings have been published in ACS Macro Letters.
