On the morning of January 17, 2022, the meeting for announcement of dean adjustment was held in conference room 221, Department of Materials Science, Jiangwan Campus. Lei Xu, Vice President of Fudan University; Hu Zhou, Director of Organization Department of Fudan Party Committee; Xiaolei Sheng, Vice Minister of Organization Department of Fudan Party Committee and other officials attended the meeting. Minister Hu Zhou announced the appointment decision of the University, which appointed professor Yanlei Yu as the Dean and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Materials Science, Vice Dean of the Department of Chemistry and Materials.

At the conference, Prof. Yanlei Yu first thanked the trust and support of the entire department as well as the solid foundation on the development of the department laid by former dean, Prof. Dalin Sun. Then she said that she would continuously work with the government team of the Department to make efforts on those aspects such as student cultivation, subject development, talent introduction and scientific research etc. Besides, she would adapt to the major requirement of the nation to cultivate outstanding students in the department serving for national strategy. Under the help of teachers and students in the whole system, we would work together to contribute to the development of the Department of Materials Science.
