Professor Yanlei Yu's research group has broken through the problem of simplifying microfluidic system. They adopted self-developed new photo-deformable liquid crystalline polymer materials to build all-optical microfluidic chips, realizing all-optical control of various complex fluids. As a basic research, the microfluidic chip is expected to 'play a key role' in various fields, such as biomedical equipment, biochemical detection and analysis, micro-reactor, chip laboratory, etc.
