The 2021 Symposium on Polymer Materials Chemistry was held in Changchun, Jilin Province from September 26 to 29. The conference discussed the development trend, hot topics, and difficult scientific problems in the field of polymer materials chemistry and clarified the future discipline development focus of polymer materials chemistry in China, as well as the priority support areas, and made efforts to jointly promote the development of polymer materials chemistry in China.

At the congress，Professor Yanlei Yu of our group made an invitation report entitled "Photodeformable liquid crystal polymers and photo-controlled microfluidics". Young teacher Lang Qin and doctoral student Bo Peng of our group made posters, respectively. Among them, the poster of Bo Peng stood out among many submitted posters and won the Excellent Poster Award, exhibiting the best style of teachers and students of our group.
